I haven’t seen any of the Wolverine movies... but didn’t Professor X die in the Last Stand?

Yeah, Singer came in with time travel and fixed things with Days of Future Past.

More confused than ever but probably because I didn’t see those ones either lol I’m a little behind on X-Men.

Basically, Brian Singer and Fox looked at the trainwreck of The Last Stand and realized what a huge mistake they’d made, so they leveraged time travel in Days of Future Past to erase it from the canon. Which is what we all wanted anyway.

It’s all a bit complicated. Fox has never held the writing reins very tightly on their X-Men universe. But if you want to get caught up, I’d recommend watching First Class, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse in that order.
As for the Wolverine movies, the first one (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is pretty useless, since it doesn’t cover any new ground. The second one (The Wolverine) is a much better film, but doesn’t advance the plot too much. Apparently Logan takes place in 2027, after the events of Days of Future Past (which takes place in the 1970s) and Apocalypse (which takes place in the 1980s).

Not only that, there was the twin in a coma storyline as well.

Damn, this felt like an adaptation for “The Last of Us”... which would be amazing.

I thought that was Mel Gibson at first.

I’ve read many comments this morning about how they need to just keep this same cast and do a The Last of Us movie.

I like Hugh Jackman but I think Anson Mount would be an awesome Joel.

Agreed. I wish every trailer was this good, and revealed so little of the plot.
